Job Description:
As a Branch Head at AU Bank, you will be responsible for driving the performance and growth of our branch by devising strategic plans, managing sales activities, and ensuring operational excellence. You will lead a team of banking professionals to deliver exceptional customer service, achieve business targets, and uphold the bank’s values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Business Development:
- Develop and implement action plans to achieve branch targets for liability business, including CASA book size, yield, fee-based income, and customer quality.
- Strategize sales direction for cross-selling and sales planning within the functional area, monitoring and improving sales productivity.
- Organize sales campaigns and promotions to drive business growth and enhance customer engagement.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and motivate the branch team to achieve profit targets and deliver outstanding customer care.
- Provide guidance and support for new product launches, ensuring staff are well-equipped to promote and sell banking products effectively.
- Conduct manpower planning, performance appraisals, and training sessions to enhance staff efficiency and productivity.
- Operational Excellence and Customer Service:
- Supervise day-to-day branch functions, including vault management, teller operations, and customer service duties, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and bank policies.
- Ensure superior Business Turn Around Time (TAT) and efficient branch operations, while monitoring and controlling costs and expenditures.
- Promote an environment that prioritizes customer satisfaction, ethical practices, and excellence in service delivery.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Adhere to regulatory compliance, bank policies, and procedures, ensuring ethical practices in acquisition and servicing.
- Monitor branch performance on a weekly basis, analyzing business targets achieved and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks to maintain a secure and compliant branch environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 8-16 years of experience in retail banking, with a focus on relationship and transactional banking.
- Strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills, with proficiency in English and local languages.
- Customer-service orientation, negotiation, and persuasion skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure, willingness to travel as required, and a commitment to honesty and integrity.
