Key Responsibilities:
- Service Reliability and Performance:
- Define, monitor, and manage SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs to ensure the reliability and performance of our services.
- Implement and maintain observability tools to track system performance and health metrics.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Develop and maintain scripts using Shell, Python, or PowerShell to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows.
- Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning using scripting and configuration management tools.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient code deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing and deployment processes into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Version Control and Collaboration:
- Utilize GIT for version control, branching strategies, and code reviews.
- Foster a collaborative environment by participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
- Containerization and Orchestration:
- Implement and manage Docker containers for application deployment and scaling.
- Use Kubernetes for container orchestration, ensuring high availability and scalability of services.
- Infrastructure as Code:
- Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to provision and manage cloud resources.
- Ensure infrastructure configurations are consistent, repeatable, and version-controlled.
- Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
- Respond to and resolve incidents related to system performance and availability.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
