Responsibilities:
- Develop optimized programs and macros using SAS standard guidelines and functionality.
- Utilize SAS Base, Macro, EG, and other native tools effectively for development tasks.
- Apply advanced understanding of Data Warehouse & ETL principles in project execution.
- Conduct data analysis, data profiling, and SQL tuning to ensure data quality and performance.
- Demonstrate expertise in UNIX skills and basic Python coding for automation and scripting tasks.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate SAS solutions into existing systems and processes.
- Explore and adopt new technologies to enhance development processes and capabilities.
- Work independently on assigned tasks, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in SAS development, with a focus on SAS Base, Macro, and EG.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehouse & ETL principles and practical experience.
- Proficiency in SQL tuning, data analysis, and data profiling techniques.
- Experience with UNIX systems and basic Python coding for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with visualization tools such as QlikView is a plus.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to a fast-paced development environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thought process.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
