Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production Planner with strong expertise in SAP Production Planning (PP) modules, specifically in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production planning, scheduling, and control processes aligned with business objectives. This role involves cross-functional coordination with procurement, manufacturing, inventory, and logistics teams.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand, inventory targets, and production capacity constraints.
- Utilize SAP PP (ECC and S/4HANA) modules for effective planning, order processing, and material requirements planning (MRP).
- Configure and optimize SAP PP master data (material master, BOM, work centers, routings) to support accurate planning and execution.
- Monitor and adjust production plans based on forecast changes, capacity limitations, and supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and efficient production flows.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, machine downtimes, and capacity bottlenecks.
- Perform regular analysis of key production KPIs, inventory levels, and on-time delivery metrics to support continuous improvement.
- Lead or support system upgrades, rollouts, and enhancements related to SAP PP and integration with other modules (MM, SD, QM).
- Provide end-user support, training, and documentation related to SAP PP functionalities and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Production Planning, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP module, with expertise in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong understanding of production planning processes, MRP, demand management, and shop floor control.
- Experience in discrete or process manufacturing industries.
- Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data to support decision-making.
- Familiarity with integration points between SAP PP and other SAP modules (MM, SD, WM, QM).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP PP Certification.
- Experience with SAP Fiori apps in S/4HANA.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Exposure to project management or SAP implementation projects.
