Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Right Account Selection & Distribution to AMs & MAMs:
- Identify and prioritize target accounts based on strategic fit and potential.
- Allocate accounts effectively to Account Managers (AMs) and Major Account Managers (MAMs) ensuring optimal coverage and resource utilization.
- Develop a High Productive Field Sales Team:
- Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to AMs and MAMs to enhance their sales effectiveness and productivity.
- Guide & Develop Team Members and Improve Customer Base:
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Drive initiatives to expand the customer base through proactive prospecting and relationship-building efforts.
- Selection of the Right Talent:
- Participate in the recruitment process to identify and onboard individuals with the requisite competencies and experience.
- Ensure alignment between candidate profiles and position requirements.
- Customer Visits and Business Support:
- Conduct regular customer visits alongside sales team members to provide support and strengthen business relationships.
- Aim for 40-45 customer meetings per month to maintain customer engagement and drive business growth.
- Strategy Planning for Account Penetration:
- Develop strategic plans to penetrate key accounts and increase market share.
- Continuously review progress against set targets and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Maintain Team Productivity & Business Consistency:
- Monitor team productivity and performance metrics.
- Implement measures to ensure consistency in achieving business objectives.
- Ensure Sufficient Funnel and Achievement of Business Plan:
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets.
- Strive for over 100% attainment level consistently.
- Manage Product Mix and Revenue Optimization:
- Analyze market trends and customer preferences to optimize product mix.
- Focus on maximizing revenue through strategic placement of color and high-segment devices.
- Negotiate and Close Agreements with Large Accounts:
- Lead negotiations with large accounts to secure long-term, high-volume business.
- Coordinate with internal legal teams to finalize agreements and ensure compliance.
- Sales Forecasting and Accuracy:
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
- Ensure alignment between forecasts and actual sales performance.
- Adherence to Company Policies and Compliance Requirements:
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures, especially regarding order execution and compliance requirements.
- Team Development and Retention:
- Implement initiatives to foster team development and retention.
- Identify training needs and facilitate skill development programs for team members.
- Maintain Professional Relationships with Key Stakeholders:
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders in top and selected customer accounts.
- Competitor Account Breakthrough Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategies to gain competitive advantage and win business from competitor accounts.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Identify training needs and ensure skill development of team members through collaboration with the respective department.
- Maintain price discipline as per defined price authorization guidelines.
- Ensure retention and continuous growth of Business Incentive (BIN) MIF in defined accounts.
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of successful sales management, preferably in the [industry/sector].
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
