Job Purpose:

To drive the acquisition, growth, and management of the Current Account (CA) portfolio while ensuring high productivity, compliance, and customer engagement. The role includes leading a team of Business Officers (BOs), achieving CASA acquisition targets, and ensuring the overall health and quality of the CA portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Drive acquisition of new CASA accounts with a focus on value and volume.
  • Ensure consistent value enhancement and cross-sell opportunities in the mapped CA portfolio.
  • Analyze and manage portfolio performance to ensure profitability and risk control.
  • Develop effective sales pitches, brochures, and marketing collateral in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Drive execution of business development initiatives to meet sales targets.

Non-Financial Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement frameworks for effective customer lifecycle management and engagement.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the team of Business Officers (CA), including training needs and performance enhancement.
  • Collaborate with team members to refine and upgrade branch-level product knowledge and sales strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized sales processes and productivity benchmarks.
  • Guide the team to meet AU Performance Standards (APS).
  • Continuously explore innovative sales channels and improve existing sales techniques.
  • Oversee catchment mapping and business scoping activities to maximize CA business potential.
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to adapt sales strategies effectively.
  • Implement a robust sales monitoring system to track and improve team productivity.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service in line with internal policies and standards.
  • Build and maintain a quality CA portfolio aligned with budgeted expectations.
  • Regularly train and motivate the team to maintain morale, productivity, and compliance.
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives in partnership with Product and Marketing Teams.
  • Monitor sourcing quality to identify skill gaps and provide targeted development programs.
  • Handle and resolve queries raised by branches and other internal stakeholders promptly.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in Retail Banking, preferably in CASA or Current Account portfolio management.
  • Strong experience in team handling, sales process management, and portfolio analysis.
