To develop, build, and maintain the Small & Micro Loan Against Property (LAP) business in the assigned territory, ensuring significant growth, profitability, and market penetration for RBL Bank.

Position Responsibilities

Team Building & Management:

  • Identify, hire, and onboard the frontline sales team within the allocated manpower budget.
  • Set clear goals and ensure the team meets the sales and profitability targets.

Key Deliverables:

  • Focus on driving essential metrics such as disbursements, fee income, rate of interest, cost of acquisition, and cross-selling to enhance business performance.

Distribution & Business Growth:

  • Work closely with the frontline sales team to establish, grow, and strengthen the distribution network for the Small & Micro LAP segment.
  • Coordinate internally with key departments (Credit, Operations, Legal, Product teams) and externally with business partners to facilitate business growth.

Portfolio Monitoring:

  • Regularly track and monitor the portfolio’s performance focusing on important metrics such as book size, yield, and delinquencies.

Business Health Monitoring:

  • Ensure high business hygiene standards by maintaining low or no Pending Documentation/Delinquencies (PDDs) or Outstanding Transactions (OTCs) beyond the stipulated timeframe.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal departments like Credit, Operations, Legal, and Product teams to ensure the efficient execution of day-to-day transactions.

Training & Development:

  • Conduct regular product and process training sessions for the sales team and channel partners to enhance their skills and product knowledge.

Channel Partner Reviews:

  • Perform regular reviews with channel partners in accordance with the bank’s policies to ensure alignment with business objectives and performance targets.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Qualification:

  • Graduate (essential).

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Retail Asset Products, with expertise in products like Loan Against Property (LAP).
  • Experience with Private Banks or NBFCs is highly preferred.

Knowledge & Skills Required

Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of the financial services business, particularly in retail loans, with a focus on Loan Against Property (LAP).
  • Strong knowledge of the local property market and small businesses in the assigned territory.

Work-Related Skills:

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external channel partners.
  • A solid track record of maintaining healthy customer relationships.
  • Ability to proactively plan and execute strategies for growth.
  • Ability to manage work under strict deadlines and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
