Job Description:

Role Objective:

To ensure seamless and compliant day-to-day operations of the branch while delivering superior service to customers and ensuring proper control, audit, and compliance standards are met. The BOM will also be responsible for the smooth coordination between front-office and back-office operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Branch Operations Management:
    • Oversee daily branch operations including cash management, vault operations, locker management, clearing, and remittances.
    • Maintain end-to-end compliance with operational processes as per bank policies and RBI guidelines.
    • Manage vendor coordination, housekeeping, ATM functioning, and branch infrastructure.
  • Customer Service & Experience:
    • Ensure timely and quality service delivery to customers.
    • Handle escalations and resolve service-related issues promptly.
    • Ensure proper KYC, AML, and other onboarding compliances for customers.
  • Audit & Compliance:
    • Ensure internal and external audit compliance.
    • Maintain records and MIS for audit readiness.
    • Implement process improvements to minimize audit findings.
  • Team Management & Coordination:
    • Supervise operations staff (tellers, service executives, etc.) and ensure productivity.
    • Conduct regular training and ensure process updates are shared with the team.
    • Act as second in command to the Branch Manager and step in when needed.
  • Cash & Risk Management:
    • Ensure daily cash limits are adhered to.
    • Conduct surprise checks and regular reconciliation of cash and vault.
    • Manage risk by controlling fraud, operational errors, and cash discrepancies.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate / Postgraduate (preferably in commerce or finance).
  • Experience: 3-6 years in branch banking operations; experience in NBFC/Small Finance Bank preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of banking operations, processes, and RBI regulations.
    • Customer-centric with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proficient in core banking systems (Finacle, TCS BaNCS, etc.)
    • Attention to detail with good analytical and decision-making ability.
