✅ Role Summary
The Branch Manager (Operations) is responsible for ensuring seamless day-to-day functioning of the branch’s operational processes. This includes supervising cash management, regulatory compliance, customer service, risk mitigation, and staff supervision. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of control, accuracy, and service delivery to support the overall objectives of the bank.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
🔹 Branch Operations
- Ensure smooth functioning of all branch operational activities including cash, clearing, remittances, and account servicing.
- Monitor end-of-day processes and ensure timely reporting.
🔹 Compliance & Risk Management
- Implement and enforce internal controls, policies, and regulatory guidelines (RBI/AML/KYC).
- Address audit findings and ensure timely closure of observations.
- Monitor high-risk transactions and unusual activities.
🔹 Cash & Vault Management
- Oversee branch cash operations including vault management, ATM replenishment, and teller activities.
- Maintain prescribed cash limits and reconcile cash balances.
🔹 Customer Service & Escalation Handling
- Ensure prompt and quality service delivery to walk-in customers.
- Resolve customer complaints and service issues within TAT.
- Conduct periodic service audits and customer feedback reviews.
🔹 Team Management
- Supervise and train operations staff (tellers, service executives, etc.).
- Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to SOPs.
- Conduct regular training on compliance, systems, and branch processes.
🔹 Process Improvement & Coordination
- Identify and address operational inefficiencies.
- Drive initiatives to improve turnaround time (TAT) and reduce errors.
- Coordinate with central operations, IT, audit, HR, and compliance teams.
🔹 Reporting & MIS
- Prepare and submit accurate reports to the regional office.
- Maintain records related to compliance, operations, and customer grievances.
