Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist in training or guiding junior designers or engineers on CAD tools and library usage.
Create, manage, and maintain CAD libraries, including schematic symbols, PCB footprints, 3D models, PCD outlines, and catalog entries across multiple EDA platforms.
Support and collaborate with the electronic design team in developing and finalizing Printed Circuit Design (PCD) layouts using advanced CAD tools.
Execute PCB layout activities such as component placement, signal routing, test point integration, artwork generation, and final documentation (assembly, fabrication drawings, etc.).
Apply DFM/DFT principles and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality, manufacturable designs.
Utilize best practices for PCB layout using tools such as Altium, Allegro, and Mentor Graphics, depending on project requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in CAD processes, library development workflows, and design documentation.
