We are looking for an experienced QA Lead with a strong background in automation testing to lead and manage quality assurance activities. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in QA, with expertise in test automation frameworks and processes. This role requires a proactive leader who can collaborate across teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy and Planning:
- Design and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts for automation and manual testing.
- Identify key quality metrics and ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.
- Automation Testing:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
- Integrate automation testing with CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery.
- Conduct performance, regression, and functional testing using automation tools.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor QA team members, ensuring the development of technical and professional skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, and operations) to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.
- Defect Management:
- Identify, log, and track software defects and drive timely resolution with the development team.
- Analyze root causes of defects and implement corrective actions to improve the testing process.
- Process Improvement:
- Evaluate and recommend testing tools and methodologies to enhance quality assurance practices.
- Continuously improve QA processes to align with agile and DevOps practices.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Provide detailed test reports, defect analysis, and progress updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, scripts, and results.
Preferred Skills and Expertise
- Strong experience with automation testing tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) for test automation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.
