Job Description :
We are actively seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior News Editor with over 5 years of experience, proficient in video editing, text editing, digital editing, and possessing a strong background in journalism. This position is available in all metro cities, and the successful candidate will lead the editorial team in curating and delivering high-quality news content for our client’s platform.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Video Editing:

Lead the video editing process, ensuring visually compelling and impactful news content. -
Collaborate with multimedia teams to enhance the overall production quality.
Text Editing:

Oversee the editing of written content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to journalistic standards. -
Mentor and guide junior editors to improve writing and editing skills.
Digital Editing:

Manage the digital editing process for online news content. -
Implement strategies to optimize content for digital platforms, enhancing the user experience.
News Curation:

Stay abreast of current events and news stories, curating and prioritizing news for publication. -
Provide strategic input on content selection based on relevance and audience engagement.
Quality Control:

Implement and enforce rigorous quality control measures to maintain editorial excellence. -
Uphold high standards of accuracy, fairness, and ethical reporting.
Collaboration and Leadership:

Lead and collaborate with a team of reporters, journalists, and editorial staff. -
Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the editorial team.
Deadline Management:

Manage tight deadlines efficiently, ensuring timely publication of news content. -
Prioritize and organize tasks effectively to meet publishing schedules.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field. -
Minimum of 5 years of experience in news editing and journalism. -
Proven proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro). -
Strong text editing skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. -
Extensive experience in digital editing for online news platforms. -
In-depth knowledge of journalistic principles, ethics, and industry standards. -
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. -
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic news environment. -
Familiarity with current events and a keen understanding of news trends.
